What is a jib crane?
Jib cranes provide localised lifting at individual workstations, machine tools and loading points. A horizontal boom (jib) pivots on a pillar or wall bracket, with a hoist travelling along the boom.
They are an efficient complement to overhead cranes, reducing waiting time and freeing the main crane for heavier lifts.
