What is a Single Girder EOT Crane?
A Single Girder EOT (Electric Overhead Travelling) Crane is an overhead material handling system designed with a single bridge girder that spans across the working area. The girder is supported by end carriages that travel along runway beams installed at elevated levels inside the facility.
In an SGEOT crane, the wire rope hoist is mounted on the underside (bottom flange) of the bridge girder and moves horizontally along the span. The entire bridge structure travels longitudinally along the runway, enabling three-dimensional movement of loads:

Up & Down – Hoisting motion

Left & Right – Cross travel of the hoist

Forward & Backward – Long travel of the bridge
This configuration allows efficient handling of materials across the entire shop floor without occupying ground space.
Single Girder EOT Cranes are typically used for light to medium-duty applications, where lifting capacities generally range from 1 Ton to 20 Tons. They are widely preferred for their structural simplicity, cost efficiency, and ease of installation.
